Tourism+ a modern analytical portal
Tourism+ is a modern analytical portal developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism to support the development of the tourism sector by providing local and regional authorities, businesses, analysts, and the general public with key information necessary for monitoring and evaluating tourism-related phenomena. The portal serves as a comprehensive analytical tool, enabling data analysis at local, regional, and national levels and supporting effective public service management as well as evidence-based strategic and business decision-making.
The core resources of the system are official statistics, including data derived from statistical surveys, enriched with information collected through web scraping techniques and data obtained from the four largest international online booking platforms: Airbnb, Booking, Expedia, and Tripadvisor. These data, provided to official statistics under an agreement with the European Commission, enable an enhanced analysis of the use of tourist accommodation establishments in Poland.
The Turystyka+ portal is available at https://turystyka.stat.gov.pl and offers interactive maps, charts, and animations that allow users to navigate the information resources intuitively. The data are available at various administrative levels, including counties (powiats) and voivodships, with the possibility of conducting both temporal and spatial comparisons.
