Centre for Materials and Fuel Energy Market Statistics
The Centre carries out nationwide tasks in the field of energy statistics, the materials market, and energy infrastructure, as well as the identification of demand for statistical data in these areas. These tasks are performed through the collection and analysis of data concerning: energy balances, district heating infrastructure and heat trade, heat generation (including from renewable sources), gas network infrastructure, the number of customers and the volume of natural gas sales, the management of primary recyclable metallic and non-metallic waste and the consumption and stocks of selected materials.
The Centre comprises a separate department in its structure - Energy Market Methodology and Research Department specializing in the study of phenomena related to energy transition, widely understood energy security and analysing the impact of new technologies on the energy market, among other things.
